Tamzin Cooper
Acting Head of School
Tamzin grew up in Derbyshire before moving to study English Literature at the University of Warwick. Once graduated, she worked as a mentor for disadvantaged students at Swanwick Hall School to follow her passion to change the life chances of young people in the area where she grew up. After a year, she joined the School Direct Programme at Nottingham University to train to be an English teacher.
Tamzin then moved to Kent to work in a grammar school where she was promoted to work on the Sixth form pastoral team. It was whilst in this role that Tamzin studied to complete a Masters in Assessment and a degree in Management, before moving to work as a Lead Practitioner to raise standards in curriculum across the school.
Tamzin relocated to Leeds to start working for the Dixons Trust in 2020 as she believes a quality Education is a right for all children. In her first role, she led on research and development in English across the Trust. She then moved to the leadership team at Dixons Trinity Academy where she is now Acting Head of School.
